Pit.Fit grappling is home to All-American wrestlers, UFC fighters and top ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors. Our focus is on getting our grapplers to improve their take-downs and top position. Most practices last 60-minutes and have a heavy emphasis on live wrestling. All wrestlers attend the same class to ensure that newer athletes always have high-level athletes around them to model correct techniques.
Jiu-Jitsu: While our jiu-jitsu style incorporates all of the traditional techniques expected, we have a heavy emphasis on top position, controlling via underhooks and front-head position.
Collegiate/Freestyle/Greco Wrestling: We often partner with local high schools and colleges helping train their athletes in takedowns and alternative ways to control position. This helps provide members with a wide range of partners with varying abilities.
All Levels: We work with all level of athletes. Kids through adults, new grapplers through UFC veterans. There is fun and learning to be had for any ability level in our grappling classes.
Classes generally start with a warm-up & stretching, then moves on to live rounds and drilling techniques. At the end of every class, we line up, bow, and shake hands with everyone.
